Summary

  • Architrav has no account: no sign-up, and no name or e-mail address to provide.
  • No advertising tracking and no audience analytics, apart from the detail given for QR code scanning on Android.
  • Your location is used to show the buildings around you. It is sent to our server for that purpose.
  • Your favorite lists stay on your device.

Location

The app uses your device's location, only while it is open, to center the map and show you the nearest buildings. Without this permission the app cannot work.

This location (latitude and longitude) is sent to our server, api.architrav.app, to display the map, compute distances, sort the list of buildings and apply the free access to the 10 nearest buildings. Requests include neither your name nor an account identifier. Like any server, it receives your device's IP address and records it, with the request and the date, in technical logs, kept for [TO COMPLETE: API log retention period].

Retention on the server: [TO COMPLETE: location retention period]

Map

The base map comes from OpenFreeMap, a free community-run service built from OpenStreetMap data. To display the map, your device asks it for the tiles of the visible area, which depends on your approximate location: OpenFreeMap therefore sees requests tied to the area you are viewing. See its privacy policy.

Camera and photos

  • Camera: used only to scan an Architrav QR code. No image is saved or sent. On Android, the code is read on the device by the Google ML Kit component; Google may receive technical usage statistics about that component, never the image.
  • Photo library: the app can save a QR code that you choose to keep (add-only, it does not read your photos).

Favorites

Your favorite lists are stored on your device. Nothing is sent to the server when you create or edit a list. Building identifiers are sent to the server only to display a list's contents or to use it as a filter. When you share a list, its name and buildings are contained in the link or QR code you hand to the person of your choice. Depending on your settings, these lists may be included in your device backup (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android) and reappear after a reinstall.

Subscription

Access to the full version (Architrav Premium) is offered as a subscription, managed by the App Store or Google Play. [TO COMPLETE: subscription price, duration and renewal, payment handling by the stores and what data we receive about it]

This website

This website uses no cookies, no audience measurement and no third-party hosted resource (fonts and images included). The server, hosted by the publisher, records accesses (IP address, requested page, date) in technical logs, kept for [TO COMPLETE: log retention period].

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of its processing, or object to it. Write to us at contact@architrav.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
